Eye-tracking data during free-viewing of natural images acquired from schizophrenic subjects will be analyzed by the saliency computational model. Eye-tracking data during free-viewing from macaque monkeys and marmoset monkeys will also be acquired to establish translatable neural and behavioral markers for psychiatric disorders using the saliency computational model. Eye-tracking data from marmoset models for psychiatric disorders will be used to develop methods for investigating the mechanisms for saliency detection in the brain network.
