Somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) technology, which can rapidly expand the number of valuable disease model organisms, could be a fundamental technology for research of non-human primates with a long breeding period. Therefore, in this study, we aim to establish SCNT technology to produce cloned animals of common marmosets. We will develop novel developmental engineering technologies such as efficient egg retrieval, nuclear transfer, and epigenome editing in marmosets, and use the established technologies to obtain cloned offspring of Parkinson's disease model marmosets.
